Amateur Radio, more commonly known as "Ham Radio", is fast becoming one of my favorite hobbies. Not only do I enjoy the great people I meet, but the technical side of transmitting in all of the different modes, combined with the nuts and bolts of how radios work is very mentally stimulating. I have also discovered that this endeavor has given me a unique opportunity to help my community by providing emergency communications during disasters.
